These are the keys to playing great football. Using the latest sports science conditioning, each month you will receive activities and instructions to enable you to become a Complete Cowboy. This will add to your training with your coach and team. |

The Cowboy Challenge is for each yearly age group 11 to 17 years and is based on your completion rate of the 5 elements of the Complete Cowboy. You can view your progress compared to all participants in real time each day via your online Cowboys Junior Development System. Monthly awards: Gold, Silver and Bronze certificates are awarded to each individual achieving the target completion rate in each age group. Term awards: Gold, Silver and Bronze badges are awarded to each individual achieving the target completion rate and finishing each term in the top 50 places by each age group. Annual Cowboys Fitness & Skill Challenge Awards: Top ranked players for each age group will be invited as finalists to the Cowboys Fitness and Skill Challenge which will be held at the home of the Cowboys as well as at major regional centres. A challenge competition will decide the rankings of finalists with a range of prizes for each age group including:

The Cowboys Match Tracker records your personal performance statistics just like the statistics for Luke O’Donnell, Carl Webb, Willie Tonga and all the Cowboys Squad. Print a Personal Match Tracker Form from your Cowboys Development System and a parent or friend can track your on field statistics. After the game load the information into your Match Tracker and you will see your performance graphed compared to your other games. In the Match Tracker Honour Role you can compare your stats against others by your age group, position, club or school games. Cowboys information will help you understand your stats compared to your playing position. This will help you to develop your playing skills and strategy. |

The Cowboys Development System includes a graduated resistance conditioning plan based on sound sports science which will help build the foundation of a strong muscular-skeletal system upon which all activity is based. This will improve your on field safety and help you to avoid or minimise injury both in the near and long term. There are 656 skeletal muscles in your body that via the tendons at each end of each muscle pull on your bones to which they are attached to create movement or a stabilisation of your body. The Cowboys Development System helps strengthen bones, tendons and ligaments. When coupled with good nutrition (which you will find within the Cowboy Development System) the result is an increase in bone density (bone strength). The bone density acquired in the teenage years through to the early 20’s is the only time in life when bone density can be increased. This will help your playing career. |

While the Cowboys Development System is aimed at developing your fitness and skill for your game it also provides conditioning for summer sports and your overall physical development. The exercise and sports specialists that have contributed to the development of the Cowboys Development System have either competed at or prepared athletes for Olympics and World Championships. The aerobic, anaerobic and resistance conditioning elements of the Cowboys System will help your participation in a range of summer sports including cricket, swimming, tennis, surfing, basketball. |

Based on the physical development requirement of juniors the system operates year round.
